On September 10, the Employer Branding Excellence Award 2020 Gala took place. Biedronka took first place for two internal campaigns: Razem Zadbajmy o Zdrowie and Świeżoznawcy. We also received a distinction in the Employer Branding Strategy category.

Biedronka is changing to celebrate its quarter-century anniversary this year. Since Monday, employees of our stores in the south of the country – from Kielce, through Krakow, to Zakopane – started their day in new, red and black uniforms. Eventually, the new colors and styles of clothing will appear in all stores in Poland.

At Biedronka, we are constantly working on becoming a better employer. Despite many challenges, external experts have appreciated our activities in many areas related to HR policy, which we are incredibly proud of. Thanks to this, we know that our work matters!

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Biedronka Foundation is providing protective, disinfecting and hygiene products to social welfare homes, care and treatment facilities, hospices, shelters for the homeless and other centers providing care to the elderly.

Agnieszka Syczyło was the winner of the first stage of this year's Piórko, the Biedronka award for a children's book. For the winning story, she received a prize of PLN 100,000. Today, June 23, the second stage of Piórko, for illustrators, begins.

During the upcoming holidays, Biedronka employees will be given the opportunity to combine work in seaside stores with summer vacations. The temporary transfer to tourist regions will benefit people who are employed in our stores in various regions of Poland on a daily basis.

"Eco Sweeties" - this is a new proposal from Biedronka, from which children will learn why dragons are sometimes less scary than SMOG. Reading six funny stories will teach good habits not only in the forest and not only to the youngest.

The 2019/2020 edition of the corporate Campus Ambassador Program selected 21 talented students from all over Poland who began their adventure with Jeronimo Martins in October 2019.
