Agnieszka Syczyło was the winner of the first stage of this year's Piórko, the Biedronka award for a children's book. For the winning story, she received a prize of PLN 100,000. Today, June 23, the second stage of Piórko, for illustrators, begins.

The foundation will provide free personal protective equipment for staff, hygiene products and disinfectants to centers that report shortages. In the meantime, the organization is already planning further initiatives related to helping the elderly.

Biedronka is lending a helping hand to small Polish businesses in difficult times as part of the “Time to Support Small Producers” campaign. Through over 3,000 Biedronka chain stores, their products can now reach millions of new customers. This is another action by the Biedronka chain, which aims to support individual social groups in the current crisis.
