Diversity in the workplace appreciated!

Projects promoting diversity, i.e. acceptance and cooperation between employees regardless of age, gender, origin, orientation or disability, were distinguished in the prestigious "Recruitment Leaders" competition organized by OLX Praca.

We are proud that Biedronka is an example of how diversity can unite, not divide!

WE are different WE create Biedronka

Every day we show that diversity is our strength and the foundation of success. In the largest team in Poland He's working:

  • above 4000 people from abroad,

  • over 1000 people with disabilities,

  • representatives four different generations.

The competition jury particularly appreciated the initiatives of:

  • We are different campaign – showing that diversity is Biedronka’s strength, not an obstacle.
  • Employment of people with disabilities for the position of Self-service checkout assistant – a project that opens the door to employment for people who often encounter barriers on the labour market.
  • Communication with candidates from abroad – career website where candidates can apply for a job at Biedronka and recruitment materials prepared in various languages.
  • Adjusting internal communication – tools (e.g. intranet for employees dlanaswjm.pl) are friendly to people with disabilities, in accordance with WCAG guidelines.
  • Activities supporting communication – podcasts and events that motivate and educate.

Big applause to everyone involved in the implementation of the distinguished projects! As she said Alicja Sędek, junior manager for sustainable HR development, responsible for the diversity campaign:

The recognition of our diversity efforts is a great honor and inspiration for further actions. This award proves that by looking at differences as a strength, we create a better workplace for everyone.

About the OLX KNOW HOW competition

This was the seventh edition of the nationwide competition organized by OLX, the aim of which is to recognize the best recruitment campaigns. The competition is open to employers, HR departments, advertising agencies, employer branding agencies, temporary employment agencies, headhunters and all creators and owners of recruitment campaigns. The jury evaluates the works in three categories: creative, effective and local campaign.
