Management Trainee Ladybugs…

is a two-year leadership program, aimed at graduates and students of the last year of studies, under the wings of Biedronka. By following our accelerated career path, you can fly even higher - for knowledge, experience, development and wide opportunities!

  • employment contract and salary in the amount of 8000 PLN gross per month,

  • dedicated path development and training,
  • possibility comprehensive knowledge of the company, in several areas, including possible several months old rotation in departments such as e-commerce, marketing, brand development, store efficiency or quality development and own brand control,
  • mobility: work in the store and distribution center is one of the program stages, which takes place in the 2nd year and lasts about 3 months,
  • continuing your career at the Jeronimo Martins Group after completing the programme.

CANDIDATE PROFILE MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAMME
Check if it's you we're looking for!
You are a graduate within 2-3 years of graduation or you are completing studies in fields such as management, logistics, supply chain, finance and accounting, e-commerce, marketing, economics, quantitative methods, big data or other business fields.
You have the opportunity to start working full-time from the beginning of November 2024 in our office in Warsaw.
You have your first professional experience during or after your studies (work, internships, student organizations). International experience is an advantage.
You have an open mind and are interested in the retail and FMCG industries.
You have high interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams.
You speak English at B2 level or above – a necessary requirement.
You are determined and ambitious in achieving your goals and you like to constantly raise the bar.
You are a problem solver and can see yourself in a changing work environment.
You can act independently and work under time pressure.
You have the ability to think analytically and critically.
You are flexible and ready for change.

  • Welcome aboard! We have prepared the first weeks with you in mind. You will go through a thorough onboarding process, and then you will get to know selected departments in our company. You will also visit stores, distribution centers and meet with directors of individual areas.

  • In the first year of the program, you will work in two selected in the recruitment process departments - in each for several months. Our recruiters will help you choose the right path, consistent with your competences and previous education or experience!

    Rotation in 2 key departments
  • After your first year of work in Biedronka, you will be able to show the results of your work to the management team at a career meeting. We believe that this is the moment, When together we will be able to answer the question: is Biedronka the place for you?

    • If so, there are two paths waiting for you: expert or managerial, which you will develop in the indicated department,
    • If you decide that this is a moment to get to know the world outside the structures of our organization – that's okay too!

    Career meeting
  • You will start the second year with an even deeper dive into the Biedronka business, getting to know Biedronka "from the inside". For the first 3 months you will work in the heart of our organization - stores, as well as distribution centers - this rotation will take place in another part of Poland. Don't worry! We will help you organize everything. You can also count on additional financial resources, because you will temporarily change your place of residence.

  • The last 9 months of the program are spent working in a target department, which will be jointly selected in the second year of the program. 

    We believe that after completing the 2-year program, this will be a perfect match and you will continue to develop your career at Biedronka.

Recruitment process

  • Recruitment app and game

    Apply to Biedronka's Management Trainee Programme via the online form and take part in Game I, which will test several key competencies in our organisation - you will receive a link to the game in a separate email. You need 15 minutes for this stage. This is an introduction to the next stages of recruitment and subsequent games.
  • Game II Analytical skills

    Test your analytical thinking skills, reasoning skills, and understanding cause-and-effect relationships. You need 40 minutes for this stage.
  • Game III Managerial skills

    Check your development potential towards management by tackling several tasks. This stage will take you 40 minutes.
  • Meeting with a recruiter

    During this stage, you will get to know Asia and Maja better – our recruiters, who will talk to you about your experiences, as well as tell you about the program and present the terms of employment. This is also the time for you to ask any questions. There is also a recruitment task waiting for you, which will bring you closer to what you will be dealing with during the internship on a daily basis.
  • Meeting with management staff

    The final stage of recruitment is the cherry on the cake. You will meet and talk to representatives of our company's management - the CEO, HR and managing directors. You will look at our business and the retail industry from their perspective. You will have the opportunity to convince them that you are the one who should join the program. Frequently asked questions

Information about your field of study, professional experience, participation in student organizations, knowledge of programs and applications, and level of foreign language skills are important. It is also worth describing your tasks and responsibilities in previous jobs.

No, it is not necessary. English is verified during the recruitment interview. The last stage of recruitment – a meeting with representatives of the management board of our company – is also held in English.

You will be entitled to a package of over 20 benefits, including private medical care in Medicover, co-financing for the Multisport card, access to a physiotherapist's office, Christmas packages, additional e-codes to be used for purchases at Biedronka or Hebe, access to the Mindgram well-being platform and many more.

The program assumes rotation to various departments in the head office in Warsaw, as well as temporary rotation to the distribution center and Biedronka store in a selected location in Poland.

We are looking for people with curiosity about the world, business awareness, innovative thinking, knowledge of English at least at B2 level and analytical skills. 

Yes, employment is based on an employment contract, so you are entitled to all rights under the Labor Code, including vacation.

Of course, but remember that the final decision will also depend on your qualifications and the interview with the recruiter.

As part of the Management Trainee Programme, you will have the opportunity to work “at the cash register” in a store, learning the foundations of our business, and participate in various projects and tasks in individual departments.

The size of the team varies by department. Despite a thorough recruitment process, it is possible to change departments in the right circumstances.

Yes, you will have a program mentor and the opportunity to meet and receive support from various managers and teams during your rotation.
