Special thanks to Biedronka employees!

We know how important a role is played by people who make sure that our customers can shop at Biedronka stores every day. Therefore, in addition to the actions we have taken to ensure the safety and health of our employees, we would also like to thank them.

Since the beginning of Biedronka, but also in this difficult and uncertain time for everyone, as a company, we have focused primarily on providing millions of Polish families with access to food and essential products. Our stores remain open, and deliveries are made on an ongoing basis so that our customers can stock up on all the necessary products. For several weeks, in this exceptional situation, we have been working at full speed. Our employees in stores, distribution centers and offices are working even harder than usual, in more difficult than usual conditions. First of all, we focused our actions on ensuring that our workplaces and Biedronka stores are a safe place for employees and customers. What's more, we are adapting these activities to updated government regulations. Our store employees work on the front line, which is why we have introduced a number of actions to support and provide protection in the workplace, including:

– we ensured the availability of antibacterial gels, masks and disposable gloves for staff,

– we provided disposable gloves for customers,

– we have introduced rules on maintaining an appropriate number of customers and distance between shoppers,

– we have installed plexiglass shields at the cash registers,

– we are gradually delivering face shields for our cashiers,

– we have increased the contactless payment limit to PLN 100.

In addition to the actions we have taken to ensure the safety and health of our employees, we have paid them additional bonuses for work in the second and third week of March and an annual bonus of PLN 2,300 gross.

We realize that in today's difficult times, support and care, as well as human gratitude, also count. That is why we would like to thank our employees. Thank you for your courage, sense of responsibility, effort and perseverance! For being part of an amazing Team that makes impossible things possible. For doing everything in their power every day to maintain the continuity of activities that are crucial for the functioning of the economy and all of us in the current situation.
