Technological transformation of logistics in practice

On October 18, 2025, the University of Economics in Katowice hosted an expert panel entitled "Technological Transformation of Logistics: AI, Automation, and New Competencies in the Supply Chain." The event brought together industry enthusiasts from the Logistics and Transport Alumni Club (KALiT), and Biedronka was pleased to be a partner.

During the panel, our experts, Jakub Domżalski and Damian Stachowicz, presented a presentation entitled "Changing the Rules of the Game: From Manual Labor to Smart Logistics." They discussed:

• the role of automation in distribution centers,

• the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in logistics processes,

• and how modern technologies support operational teams in their daily work.

Thanks to the solutions implemented, Biedronka shows that technological transformation is not a thing of the future – it is a reality that is already improving processes across the entire supply chain.

Exchange of experiences and inspiring conversations

The panel in Katowice was not only an opportunity to exchange knowledge about trends in logistics, but also to rTalk about the competencies of the future. Experts agreed that the following are crucial in modern supply chain management today:

• process automation,

• data digitization,

• the ability of humans to cooperate with technology,

• and continuous development of analytical and technical competences.

About the Logistics and Transport Graduates Club (KALiT)

KALiT is an inter-faculty organization operating at the University of Economics in Katowice. It brings together graduates of various fields related to transport, forwarding, and logistics, as well as those pursuing professional development in these areas.
