New Year's pay rises for Biedronka employees

Almost 67 thousand employees of the Biedronka chain in stores and distribution centers will receive higher salaries from January 1, 2025. The average salary increase in stores in the most popular position of salesperson-cashier will amount to 10.5 %. The largest employer in Poland will allocate almost PLN 450 million per year for salary increases for employees in basic positions.

How much will retail workers earn?

A salesperson-cashier starting work at Biedronka will earn from January 2025 no less than PLN 5,150 to PLN 5,500 gross, and if they have more than 3 years of experience, from PLN 5,300 to PLN 5,750 gross. This means that a cashier-seller starting work, working full-time, but with the shortest experience, will receive a 10.5 TP58T raise. A novice store manager will receive no less than PLN 7,200 gross.

How much will logistics centre employees be paid?

A warehouseman with the least seniority will be able to count on PLN 5,250–5,550 gross, and an administrative and warehouse inspector on PLN 6,100–6,400 gross. The amounts include bonuses for no unplanned absences. Employees can also count on discretionary bonuses related to the achievement of sales or warehouse goals, increasing their actual salaries.

Before the holidays, employees of stores, distribution centers, offices, as well as selected groups of co-workers also received vouchers that will allow them to take advantage of a discount of up to PLN 1,000 on purchases in Biedronka chain stores. As every year, before Christmas, the company also prepared as many as 165,360 packages, including 84,700 for employees and 80,660, adapted to four age categories, for children. The holiday package also includes Christmas and New Year parties, which each team can organize according to their own preferences within the budget allocated specifically for this purpose.
