During the coronavirus pandemic, the Biedronka Foundation is providing protective, disinfecting and hygienic products to social welfare homes, nursing and treatment facilities, hospices, homeless shelters and other facilities providing care for the elderly. In the first edition of the program, the Foundation donated goods to 240 centers located throughout Poland - a total of 20,000 residents stay there, 70% of whom are seniors. The second edition of the program has just started - institutions providing 24-hour, stationary care for the elderly can apply for assistance.

The Biedronka Foundation supports seniors. Its goals include combating poverty, malnutrition, loneliness and social exclusion of the elderly, as well as developing volunteering for seniors. The first program of the Foundation is the program "For everyday shopping" implemented together with Caritas Polska and diocesan Caritas. As part of the program, 10,000 seniors have been provided with assistance. The Biedronka Foundation allocates almost PLN 15 million for the program "For everyday shopping".
In total, in the first edition of the program, the Biedronka Foundation donated 250 pallets of products, including 0.5 million disposable masks, over 60,000 diagnostic latex gloves, 300,000 disinfection capsules, over 100,000 surface disinfection wipes and many others.
