We know that there are many ways to develop. That is why we offer a variety of development opportunities for each of our professional groups. All of this is based on development plans that are agreed with each employee individually, so that everyone can develop their potential to the best of their ability. Because each of us is unique. Get to know selected processes and tools that accompany us every day.

  • Onboarding – it is a process in which a company can clearly show its values, standards and tools necessary to achieve goals and achieve success. Thanks to this, new employees find their way in a new environment more quickly. Training and implementation Store Managers play a key role in the process of introducing new employees.
  • SOP – Work Evaluation and Development Planning System – for employees in non-managerial positions.
  • PMC – manager performance management process – evaluation system for employees in managerial positions.
  • MDR (Management Development Review) – a cyclical process of reviewing the potential of talent in the organization, supporting the internal succession process. As part of the process, individual employee development paths are built. From this year, MDR is supported by artificial intelligence tools. In 2024, over 5,500 people were covered by the MDR process in Biedronka.
  • Embassy of Developmentalmost a year of joint meetings full of learning, exchange of experiences and perspectives, broadening horizons within various leading topics such as: public speaking, change management, self-awareness or ethical exertion of influence. The overarching goal of this development program is to build an environment of continuous improvement. Promoting continuous development and emphasizing how important it is for an employee to take responsibility for their own development.
  • Success(s) I development program, which aims to support and develop key talents in our organization. ABOUTresponds to dynamically changing trends and organizational needs, adapting to new challenges every year. Through individual development plans, participants have the opportunity to shape their own career paths, increasing their motivation and preparation for future roles as leaders and specialists.
  • Business coaching – supports the development of employee competences, positively influences motivation and commitment to achieving organizational goals. Additionally, it helps leaders and teams identify strengths, improve communication and solve problems.
  • jAIn – a platform that uses artificial intelligence to support employee development.
  • Reverse Mentoring – a mentoring program in which the younger generation becomes mentors, sharing innovative ideas and a fresh perspective on work. Experienced employees learn from them, passing on their rich professional competences. Reverse Mentoring shows how you can develop through intergenerational cooperation, sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Psychometric tests (e.g. Gallup or FRIS talent tests) – we provide our employees with various tests and studies that allow them to develop in accordance with their natural talents and predispositions.
  • Development Paths – designating individual development paths is one of the elements of the potential review. This activity aims to support a proactive attitude of employees towards their own development, systematize the employee's knowledge of the types of development opportunities, thoroughly understand the requirements for specific positions and designate plans related to this.
  • Hogan's Personality Test – diagnostic tool supports effective career planning and team building. Thanks to it, we can better match development activities to individual needs, increasing the engagement and effectiveness of Biedronka teams
  • Executive coachingan individual development process that supports leaders in improving their leadership skills, making better decisions and effectively managing teams.

For young talents, we offer, among other things, Fruitful Summer Internships, dedicated activities under the umbrella of the Biedronka Campus and a two-year leadership program - Management Trainee. This is a program aimed at graduates and students in their final year of studies. By following our accelerated career path, program participants can fly even higher - for knowledge, experience, development and wide opportunities!

Over the course of 2 years, Management Trainee interns gain experience in key business areas and also train in both soft skills and hard competences.

  • we believe that the greatest impact on an employee's development (as much as 70%) comes from experiences, i.e. everyday work, taking on challenges or collecting observations from various situations,
  • the remaining 20% development is coaching, feedback and relations with employees,
  • the last 10% are traditional training courses and workshops so you can learn more.
